- Introduces affordable Engineering education opportunities to Sri Lankans –
August 27th 2016: Filling a dearth in the Sri Lankan tertiary education arena, AIC Campus Launched Global Engineering Transfer (GET) Program in partnership with France’s ESIGELEC Graduate School of Engineering. The program will offer Sri Lankan students an opportunity to complete the first two years of their studies offered by ESIGELEC Graduate School of Engineering at AIC Campus and transfer to ESIGELEC itself to complete the Degree in a specialized field of their choice or opt to finish their Degree at another partner University from the global partner base of 80 leading Universities in Europe, North America and Austral Asia. The ESIGELEC Engineering program delivers a Master in Engineering following a 5 year study period that encapsulates a project based teaching method, mandatory internships and a compulsory period of work/study overseas.
“Given its track record as a fervent investor in research and academia coupled with the low tuition fees, France would be an ideal choice to students seeking quality higher education opportunities. We are proud to be the first to introduce this hitherto unexplored territory to Sri Lankan students, and we at AIC are proud and excited at the prospects. ESIGELEC offers one of the world’s most advanced technologically up to date engineering degree programs and we consider it a great honour to be able to bring this opportunity to our students,” commented Dr Gishan Sumanasiri, Executive Director/CEO of AIC Campus.
Home to some of the world’s progressive industries and a rich history as a centre of intellectual movement, France attracts over a quarter of a million international students a year.
“Engineering is a career choice for those who are keen in solving technical problems and designing solutions. Engineers apply their scientific, technical, and practical knowledge to create solutions with systems, manufacture chemicals and materials. Therefore, we offer a considerable range of degree programs to students through this partnership” added Dr Gishan.
GET offers a plethora of Engineering degree programs starting from Aeronautical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Electronic Systems of Telecommunication Engineering, Networks Architecture and Security, Automation and Industrial Robotics, Embedded Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Transport, Electrical Engineering to Biomedical Systems Engineering.
After completing the first two years of their engineering curriculum at AIC, students can choose their specialization area in any of the above engineering disciplines that appeals to them and join the prestigious ESIGELEC University to complete their degree program and explore academic and career opportunities around the globe. AIC is well-geared to offer a seamless transfer process.
ESIGELEC has partnered over 80 universities worldwide, including regions such as the United States of America, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.
AIC Campus provides a comprehensive suite of University education programs for students after O/Level and A/Level. O/Level students can join the Foundation in Technology and Engineering (FITE) program and continue with the Engineering degree programs of choice. A/Level students are eligible to apply directly to the Global Engineering Transfer (GET) program, delivering comprehensive courses with essential and fundamental Engineering courses, including Mathematics, Sciences, Computing, and other communication and skill development courses, which are essential pre-requisites for a degree program in engineering.
