USD 15 million utility agreement between Sri Lanka and Australia

Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training has proposed a program to provide the youth from the districts of Ampara, Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Polonnaruwa with the necessary qualitative skills development education within 2016 to 2019 and through this to gain employment opportunities within the tourism sector.

A proposal by Skills Development and Vocational Training Mahinda Samarasinghe to obtain a financial grant of USD 15 million which the Australian government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has agreed to provide, has been approved by the Cabinet.
