Zesta, Sri Lanka’s premium tea brand by Watawala Tea Ceylon Limited (WTCL), has stepped forward as title sponsor of Eat Street CMB 2017, a family-friendly open-air food festival. Organized by Share Innovations, the most anticipated event for local foodies will take place on Saturday 12th August 2017 at Green Path Colombo 07. Eat Street CMB brings together independent vendors as well as popular brands, like Zesta, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for Colombo food enthusiasts. It will showcase an array of more than 100 food stalls, merchandise stalls, and stage entertainment. This year’s Eat Street CMB will consist of a movie lounge, CMB Chef’s Theatre, coffee and tea lounges, live DJ and band performances and a special game zone. Participants can take part in various competitions as well such as Colombo Eating Challenge and CMB Cooking Challenge. Eat Street CMB will be open for the public from 10.00am to 10.00pm. Zesta will have a special stall at the CMB Eat Street 2017 where they will serve iced tea and tea-based mocktails as well as hot tea to visitors during the event, offering them an opportunity to experience the authentic taste of internationally renowned pure Ceylon tea. A special photo booth will also be available for the visitors to share a memory with Zesta. Watawala Tea Ceylon Ltd, a subsidiary of the diversified conglomerate Sunshine Holdings, is the largest branded tea company in Sri Lanka. It has the highest market share in the tea category with three brands: ‘Zesta’, ‘Watawala Tea’ and ‘Ran Kahata’ catering to three distinct market segments.  Having built a strong foundation locally, the company has embarked on an expansion plan to penetrate into selected international markets by launching ‘Zesta Connoisseur’- an extension of Zesta to cater to premium international customers. The company is the exclusive tea supplier to the Shangri-La chain of hotels, servicing 100 luxury hotels spread across 24 countries.
