Taniya wins 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Challenge Trophy

Expert financial planner NDB Wealth recently concluded its third consecutive NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championships.   Held on August 18, 2017, at the historic Royal Colombo Golf Club (RGCG), this year’s edition saw Taniya Minel Balasuriya beat out the pack to emerge as the overall tournament winner, going on to lift the coveted 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Challenge Trophy at the awards ceremony.   Category winners at the 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championship included:  
  • Taniya Minel Balasuriya in the Gold category (aged 15 to 17 years)
  • Levon Niyarepola in the Silver category (aged 12 to 14 years)
  • Nirekh Tejwani in the Bronze category (aged 10 to 11 years)
  • Kvahn Tejwani in the Copper category (aged nine years and below)
  Importantly, this year’s NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championships also saw a steady uptick in participants, with interest expressed by several overseas participants. This is a clear indicator that the tournament’s longstanding mission to promote junior golf has made considerable headway.   Further, the NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championship has grown increasingly popular in no small part because of the significant rewards on offer. The four winners, as well as those earning first and second runner-up slots in each category, all earned NDB Wealth accounts of significant value for their winning performances, which will serve as an investment into their sporting future.
