Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) recently, recognized the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for efforts it has taken towards promoting trade, tourism and investment between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Accordingly, an award was given to the SL – Malaysia Council by the MATRADE during the recent seminar held in Colombo, under the title “Business Opportunities in Malaysia.”
Mr. Aashiq Lafir, the Chairman of the Business Council accepted the award on behalf of the council and it was presented by the Malaysian International Trade and Industry Minister Dato’ Sri Mustafa, who was in Colombo, recently.
The seminar was conducted as a part of a trade and investment mission in Sri Lanka by during the seminar The seminar was followed by business to business meetings with visiting SMEs from Malaysia and local businessmen.
