They are created through an intentional investment in employees. This award is a strong sign that our employees embrace our corporate culture and enjoy being members of the successful team. Although Oxford College of Business was listed in one of the best companies to work for in 2014 and 2015, we haven’t rested on our laurels; we have continued to make significant investment in our most valuable asset, our people. Winning this award in successive years is yet another confirmation that Oxford College of Business not only teaches its students good HR practices, but also practices them. We strongly believe that it is our unwavering focus on hiring and then empowering the very best academics and industry experts in the country that fuels our continued growth and success. Our amazing team sets us apart from our competitors. We have some of the best skills and experience from diverse industry backgrounds coupled with our unique culture and diversity, which is the reason why our staff enjoy coming to work. Receiving this award is an honour and a great recognition for the hard work our entire team put in to making Oxford College of Business a great place to work.”
“We want all of our employees to be excited about the possibilities, the next challenge and the next win. When our employees enjoy what they are doing, we create great industry leaders and superior student experiences. Hiring the best talent and developing a positive and creative environment enables us to deliver beyond our students’ expectations.”
“Earning this recognition by Great Place to Work is an honor,” said Dhanushka Kulathilake, Head of Academic at Oxford College of Business. “Oxford College of Business is a great place to work, where intellectually curious, hard-working and creative people challenge each other every day to do their best, in transferring knowledge to our undergraduate and postgraduate students.”
Oxford College of Business has taken part in the Trust Index© Employee Survey from Great Place To Work since 2014. The work with Great Place to Work is an integral part of OCB’s overall HR strategy.
According to Mr. Kulathilaka, Great Place to Work applied the Trust Index and Culture Audit as key criteria in the process of determining the winning companies for the 2016 awards. While the Trust Index is based on employees’ knowledge of their working environment, the Culture Audit has to do with information on best working practices employed by the companies.
The awards, now in their 4th year, took place Cinnamon Grand Hotel on Friday, the 8th of July where a crowd of almost 400 top corporate gathered to celebrate innovation and success of 25 top companies in Sri Lanka.
